Motionless In White have secured one of the strongest chart weeks of their career following the release of their seventh studio album, Decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The record opened with 29,500 album-equivalent units and reached No.1 on Billboard\u2019s US Hard Rock Albums chart. It also topped the UK\u2019s Official Rock & Metal Albums Chart, giving the band major chart victories on both sides of the Atlantic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Decades additionally debuted at No.15 on the Billboard 200, reached No.2 on both the US Top Album Sales and Top Current Album Sales charts, and landed at No.5 on Australia\u2019s overall albums chart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The results arrive during a milestone year for the Pennsylvania band, who are celebrating two decades together. Released on July 17 through Roadrunner Records, Decades follows 2022\u2019s Scoring the End of the World and continues the group\u2019s blend of metalcore, industrial music, goth and electronic production. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Motionless In White thanked fans for supporting the album throughout its release campaign, describing the journey towards Decades as one of the most significant periods of their career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The album was introduced by \u201cAfraid of the Dark,\u201d which previously became the band\u2019s first track to top Billboard\u2019s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart. That was followed by \u201cPlaying God,\u201d featuring Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Other collaborations on the record include Skylar Grey on \u201cR.I.P.\u201d and Dark Divine on \u201cBlood Rave,\u201d while the tracklist also features \u201cFight Like Hell,\u201d \u201cAll That I\u2019ve Ever Known,\u201d \u201cLove at First Bite\u201d and a reworked version of Corey Hart\u2019s \u201cSunglasses at Night.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The album has been praised for expanding the band\u2019s familiar sound without abandoning the industrial heaviness, theatrical atmosphere and large choruses that have defined their recent work. Metal Hammer described it as Motionless In White\u2019s most impressive album so far, highlighting the way its electronic, gothic and metal influences are brought together across the record. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Its UK performance also represents a significant step forward. Before the final chart was published, Decades had been tracking towards the band\u2019s first appearance inside the main UK Top 40, surpassing the previous No.43 peak achieved by Reincarnate in 2014. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
For a band now entering its third decade, the opening-week figures show that Motionless In White are continuing to grow rather than simply relying on their established audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
