Courtney LaPlante Has Disruptive Fan Removed

Spiritbox frontwoman Courtney LaPlante briefly halted the band’s performance in Phoenix, Arizona, after spotting a disruptive fan in the crowd.

The incident took place during Spiritbox’s show at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre, with fan-filmed footage showing LaPlante stopping the performance and addressing the situation before security escorted the individual out of the venue.

Rather than continuing while the disruption unfolded, the band waited until the situation had been resolved before carrying on with the set, earning praise from fans online.

The clip quickly began circulating across TikTok, with many commending LaPlante for prioritising the safety and enjoyment of everyone in attendance.

Some of the most-liked reactions included:

“Imagine messing up so bad at a Spiritbox show Courtney stops the show and calls you out.”

Another fan added:

“Why would you spend all that money to cause trouble? Makes no sense.”

While another wrote:

“She’s always been like that and we love her for it.”

Stopping a show to deal with crowd issues has become increasingly common in recent years, with artists across the rock and metal scene choosing to pause performances whenever they spot behaviour that could put fans at risk or negatively affect the atmosphere.

Spiritbox are currently touring in support of their latest material and have continued to build a reputation as one of modern metal’s most compelling live acts, with LaPlante frequently praised not only for her vocal performances but also for her awareness of what’s happening beyond the stage.

The Phoenix crowd was able to enjoy the remainder of the show once the situation had been dealt with, turning what could have been a sour moment into another example of a band putting their fans first.
