Forty years of Meshuggah
Meshuggah began with thrash-metal foundations before moving into stranger territory, with albums such as Destroy Erase Improve, Chaosphere and Nothing establishing their polymetric, rhythm-heavy style.
Their ninth studio album, Immutable, arrived in 2022. It topped the UK Rock & Metal Albums chart and reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums chart, as well as the top 10 in Germany, Canada and Sweden. The band have also received a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance for “Clockworks”.
The line-up is Jens Kidman (vocals), Mårten Hagström (guitar), Dick Lövgren (bass), Fredrik Thordendal (guitar) and Tomas Haake (drums).
