Showing Teeth Announces Debut EP ‘A Fate Worse Than Loneliness’ and Releases New Single ‘Bad Exchanges’

Showing Teeth has announced her debut EP, A Fate Worse Than Loneliness, alongside the release of a new single, “Bad Exchanges.”

The Nashville-based artist has also confirmed a joint signing with Republic Records and Spinefarm, marking a major step forward after emerging as one of heavy music’s most talked-about new names over the past year.

A Fate Worse Than Loneliness will arrive on September 4 and features seven tracks, including previously released songs “Rip” and “Labyrinth.”

“Bad Exchanges” continues Showing Teeth’s collision of extreme metal, electronics and raw melody.

The track opens with an uneasy, distorted beat before building into detuned grooves, electronic noise and a piercing vocal performance. Its lyrics centre on emotional frustration and the feeling of being unable to escape familiar patterns, with the song eventually collapsing into a burst of screams and feedback.

A music video for the track is also expected to arrive soon.

The single follows “Rip,” which has already surpassed one million streams and helped introduce Showing Teeth to a much wider audience. Revolver previously included the track among its best new songs, praising the intensity of her vocals and the heaviness of the material.

Alongside the EP announcement, Showing Teeth has confirmed she will join President on their sold-out North American Campaign 2026 tour.

The six-week run begins on September 4 at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville and continues across the United States and Canada before concluding at House of Blues Dallas on October 14.

The tour will also include appearances at Louder Than Life, Shaky Knees and Nashville’s Ceremony Festival.

Showing Teeth has built momentum through a sound that moves between deathcore screams, industrial production and more melodic passages. After initially recording vocals in her car, she went on to gain attention through songs such as “Labyrinth” and “Rip,” before appearing alongside Bring Me the Horizon in Manchester and performing at festivals including Rock Fest and Upheaval.

Her new agreement with Republic Records and Spinefarm places her alongside two major forces in modern music.

Republic Records is home to artists including Pearl Jam, Eddie Vedder, Taylor Swift, The Weeknd and Florence + The Machine, while Spinefarm’s current roster includes Sleep Token, Bullet For My Valentine, Black Veil Brides, Dayseeker and While She Sleeps.
