Bigmouth Music Awards 2026 Announced

The Bigmouth Music Awards are returning for 2026, celebrating the artists, releases and creators who have helped shape another huge year for alternative music.

Following the success of our inaugural awards last year, the second edition will be bigger, sharper and more ambitious. What began as a new way for Bigmouth to recognise the music we genuinely loved now feels like the start of something much bigger.

The winners of the Bigmouth Music Awards 2026 will be announced in November across six categories:

• Best Album
• Best Song
• Artist of the Year
• Breakthrough Artist
• Best Music Video
• Best Content Creator

The categories have been chosen to celebrate every side of modern music culture—from the records and songs that defined the year to the visuals, personalities and independent creators helping audiences discover them.

Best Album and Best Song will recognise the releases that stayed with us long after the first listen, while Artist of the Year will honour an act whose music, performances and wider impact made 2026 their own.

Breakthrough Artist will spotlight an emerging name that took a major step forward this year. Best Music Video will celebrate the creativity behind the camera, and Best Content Creator will recognise someone making a genuine contribution to music culture through original, entertaining or informative work.

Bigmouth has grown enormously over the past year, alongside a community that is passionate, outspoken and constantly introducing us to new music. These awards are our opportunity to properly celebrate the artists and creators who gave that community something to talk about.
