Hatebreed have released one final taster from Fatal Paradox before the hardcore veterans’ first album since 2020 lands this Friday.
Hatebreed have released one final taster from Fatal Paradox before the hardcore veterans’ first album since 2020 lands this Friday.
Hatebreed have shared a music video for new single ‘Decisions Become Destinies’, the last preview of Fatal Paradox before it arrives on Friday 6 November via new label BLKIIBLK.
It is the Connecticut band’s first new album in six years, following 2020’s Weight Of The False Self, and their ninth studio record overall.
Jamey Jasta Calls It One of the Album’s Most Personal Songs
The track opens on a bass line before dropping into the kind of breakdown-heavy hardcore the band have built their name on.
Frontman Jamey Jasta described it as “one of the most personal songs on the album”, adding that it “sums up where Hatebreed is as we’re about to come back hard for this next chapter”.
The album was made with long-time collaborator Zeuss, whose credits include Rob Zombie and Shadows Fall. Its 11 tracks include the already-released ‘Kill Count Increase’, plus ‘Sacrifice Season’, which features John Tardy.

Fatal Paradox Tracklist
- Kill Count Increase
- The Carrion Choir
- Decisions Become Destinies
- Total Invincible
- Fatal Paradox
- Still A Threat
- Sacrifice Season (feat. John Tardy)
- Truth Is A Lion
- Make The Demons Obey
- None Left To Save
- Poison Planet
Wembley Stadium With Slipknot Next Summer
UK fans will get their chance to hear the new material live on 3 July 2027, when Hatebreed support Slipknot at Wembley Stadium. The band then head to South America with Slipknot in September 2027, with stadium dates in Buenos Aires, Santiago, Lima and Bogotá.
The press campaign is billing Fatal Paradox as the band “harder than ever, stronger than ever”. That is the label talking, of course, and the full record is not out until Friday, so the jury is still out on whether it lives up to classics like Perseverance and The Rise Of Brutality.
What is not in doubt is the band’s staying power. According to their label, Hatebreed have sold more than 1.5 million albums in North America, and ‘Looking Down The Barrel Of Today’ is closing in on 130 million streams.
Six years is a long wait. Can Fatal Paradox stand next to Hatebreed’s best, or are their glory days behind them?
